Chapter 1: A World in Ruins

=I scramble back up to my feet and rejoin the squad=

PANZER!

GET THE PANZERSCHREK!

=I direct the rocket soldier into safe cover and help him load the rocket=

Ethan: That didn't work! Daniel! Get on the Browning!

=I climbed up the hatch, and onto the Browning. I spotted some Empire soldiers and guess what? Started firing like there was no tommorow... At more or less anything that wasn't... Us.=

=The .50 Caliber bullets rip through the rocket man and I hit the floor, scared for my life=

=I crawl back into the tall grass and bring the rocket lanucher with me=

=I kept firing. It was the only thing to do. Other than let the enemy blow up the tank... Which wasn't going to happen. Then I realised. The Browning hadn't been reloaded for a while... Which meant I was probably low on ammo... And if I ran out... Well... Shit...=

=I reload the launcher and realized the shooting had stopped=

Open Fire!

=I popped out of the grass with about 15 other people and shot the rocket launcher, which hit the left track=

Daniel: FUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

=I dived in as the Rocket hit.=

Ethan: They hit the left track! Fuck! We're not moving any time soon! Any bright fucking ideas!?

Daniel: The 105mm! The main fucking gun! Just turn it around and Boom!

Ethan: Ok! Just be ready to blow the fuck out of them.

=The Tank began to turn around, and I was ready to fire.=

=I throw the Launcher and I realize it's only weapon left is the cannon=

It's vulnerable!

=I throw up my arm and start charging and the rest of the soldiers go with me=

Charrrrge!

Daniel: They're fucking charging!

=The tank turned around fully.=

Ethan: FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!

=I fired. And watched the Explosion. It was bright... To say the least. But it probably didn't kill all of them.=

=The explosion hit close, the concussion staggered me a bit, I didn't look back to see if it killed anyone=

=I pull out my pistol and reload it, in the same process I begin to jump back on the tank=

Daniel: We have another fucking Hijacker!

Ethan: Get up there and sort them out then!

=I began climbing out the hatch, my STEN in one hand. This probably wasn't going to end well.=

=I pistol whip the man that climbs out of the hatch and I speak in English=

Surrender, soldiers!

=I keep my pistol pointed at the hatch=

=I toppled back into the Tank. Fuck... Well... Shit...=

Daniel: Ethan, what do we do?

Ethan: We can die... Or we can surrender... Upto you...

Daniel: Hey, Empire idiot. What happens if we surrender?!

=I struggle with the words=

You.. do not die...

Daniel: I guessed that... Whats the prisoner camp like? Just checking our booking options.

=Ethan laughed. I was just wasting time.=

=I grab one of the soldiers by the collar and pull him out=

Out.

=The rest of the soldiers surround the tank=

=I get pulled out the tank, and fall onto the ground.=

Daniel: Ethan... Time to go.

=Ethan climbs out the Tank, and lands on the ground.=

Ethan: You all look like happy fuckers.

Someone go find the Captain!

=I search the rest of the tank by dropping a hand grenade in=

=I see the soldier put a grenade in the tank.=

Daniel: What do you think we're hiding in there? A bomb?

=I jump off the tank and the grenade explodes=

Not anymore. Search them!

=Two soldiers check them while the rest provide security=

=The soldiers search me and Ethan. They take away our Knives, and Ethans Colt.=

Daniel: Happy?

=One of the soldiers toss the pistol at me and I see it's loaded=

Nice...

=I put it in my inside jacket=

=i heard a cannon fire, as well as tiny small arms fire, and I wanted to do something, anything, but there wasn't much I could do. There's an unspoken law about tankers, you don't drive another man's tank, unless you need to, or he's dead. Well, the driver was very much alive, and I had no ability to. When you enter another man's tank, you are a guest in his home. However, I was forced to issue orders, as I was still in command. I looked at the driver, the only reason I know him is because his picture is right next to the window=

Okay, sir, we need to get out of here. Can you start up the tank and drive us out of here?

=he nodded, kinda off put to be given orders inside his own tank, but started getting the engine running. I looked at the radio man=

Son, I need you to switch us to a US only radio frequency. I need to get this order to everyone.

=he nods and switches it over=

Tell everyone to fall back to the safe zone. Get the engines running and just floor it out there. Anyone who doesn't get to do it is to hide, or surrender. I want no more deaths, if I can help it. These are my men, and they need to live to fight another day. I don't care about order or anything, just get them out of there. Got it? Think you can relay that?

=he nods, shaking and begins the relay of the order. i turned back to the driver=

Go, sir. Now.

=the tank engine turns over and begins to drive off=

=I heard it down the comm. We were to stand down. Surrender. So... Looks like I was going to be enjoying time with the Empire. How lovely... Well... This was it. Now... We were waiting for the... Captain or something? I had no idea...=

=The men line up in a 'firing line' stance=

Make ready!

=I hear a rumbling=

Take Aim!

=Another tank begins to trudge through the grass and everyone scrambles=

Tank, Tank!

=A tank!? Another fucking tank!? Maybe it wasn't over... We could try...=

Daniel: Ethan! Fucking run! Run!

=I ran... In the direction of the tank. And if Ethan was following... I didn't know.=

Daniel: Hey! Tank! Slow the fuck down!
