Chapter 1: A World in Ruins

=someone got up on top of the tank and looked around. HE saw some people trying to catch up to us and he called down=

"HEY! Slow down! We got some friendlies trying to get on!"

=the driver slowed, but didn't stop. He kept driving, just at a slow pace=

"Climb on and hold on! We don't have room for you in here!"

=other tanks who heard the radio comm and could move also started up and started driving=

=I caught up with the Tank... Which was still going... Uh... Fastish... I jumped on... Which in hindsight, was a terrible idea. I grabbed onto something on the top of the tank, and hit the back with a 'Klunk'. It wasn't the best grip... But whatever. I heard a second 'Klunk', which I guessed was Ethan. Right now, staying with the Empire sounded better.=

=the man on top called down again=

"Floor it! Go go go!"

=the driver finally spoke=

"SHUT THE FUCK UP JOSH!"

=the man, Josh called down again=

"Screw you, too, Heinrich! Hey, buddies, keep a firm grip. This may get bumpy!"

=the driver, Heinrich, or Henry as I suspected, promptly stomped on the gas and drove the tank like I did, assuming I was blind and trying to win a bumper car game=

=I jump behind a small fence and yell=

FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!

=I start firing at the armoured hull of the Tank with my Assault Rifle=

=I heard the man shout... And bullets ping off the tank. Yeah, I prefered the Empire right about now.=

Ethan: Holding on was the general god damn idea!

Daniel: Calm the fuck down Ethan!

=I go searching through the dead bodies for some sort of Anti Tank weapon=

Keep shooting!

=I check an American on the ground behind the a tank=

"Don't yell at me! I'm not thinking clearly with adrenaline right now, so kindly shut up and just hold on!"

=i couldn't see it, but the man drew a firearm of sorts and started firing backwards at someone, probably whomever was shooting at us=

=I grab some Gammon grenades off the soldier and I wait for the tank to get closer=

=the driver suddenly went hard left. Well more of a stop and turn method of hard left. However you would describe a tank sending everyone inside flying into the right side walls, it happened. and it hurt. The driver vaguely yelled something like "hold on," but i only heard it after we turned, which didn't help matters with my legs=

=I see the tank coming closer and I pull the pin on the Gammon Grenade=

Come on....

=Xazhi and Liza were simply watching as the new arrivals dealt with the Alliance tank, ,aking mental notes about them=

=I toss the Gammon Grenade and it lands right in front of the tank as it explodes in a TNT sided explosion=

=the driver again yelled something that would've been helpful a few seconds before he did it=

"HOLD ON!"

=he yelled that after he promptly stomped on the brake and started going in reverse, which hurt immensely considering I didn't know what was going to happen until it happened=

What the hell are you doing?!

"There's some bastard with grenades in front of us!"

Well then just shoot him and keep going!

=the tank lurched forward again and he yelled out=
"OKAY! Hey Josh! Shoot this fucker in front of us, will you?!"

"I'll try!"

=Josh's legs turned around and I could faintly hear gunshots=

=I try to duck down quick, the bullet went through a small part of the tank and the bullet bounced off my helmet, knocking me on the ground=

Whhew...

=I crawl farther behind the tank, holding on the the ground=

=the driver, Heinrich or Henry or whatever he wanted to be called, still proceeded to hit just about every rock and stick between here and the fallback point. We bounced and jiggled around, all of it smashing my legs into things and each other. I'm more or less accustomed to pain, but the sheer amount of it was staggering. That, and my adrenaline high was rapidly falling=

=My heart beats faster, I jump out and grab my Rifle that I had dropped and crawl back into the cover of the tank=

=Henry hit another pot hole, or maybe a log, before finally finding a smooth surface. We had finally gotten out of the camp, and were heading towards the fallback point. A small camp set up with guard towers and everything. It was like a MASH camp, only more military. It had a portable airfield, AA guns, Artillery fuel depots etc. It was our staging point, and our entire operation had started from this camp. The pieces had been air dropped in, as well as troopers and engineers and so on. If we could make it there, we could regroup, rearm, and try again. I heard several other tanks driving near us, but I had no idea as to how many there were in terms of percentage of entire battle group=

Whilst the battle rages on in a distant land, the Agent sits down to talk with a high ranking member of the empire.
