Chapter 1: Name TBA

An arrow flew from another bowman... straight into my left shoulder.
"Gah! More arrows!? Seriously?"
In response I flung myself at him before he could load another arrow. Instead of killing him, I just disarmed him.
Just by cutting his right arm, making him drop his bow. I tackled him which forced him down.
I drew my knife and threatened to cut his throat.

[ Why aren't you killing him?]
If we want to escape the grasslands, we'll need him to lead us.

(Nerim)
=i walked over to Jisr, keeping an eye out for anyone else=
Why is he still alive?

[ He wants to keep him so we can have him lead us out of here. ]
"I was gonna say that..."
He didn't try to struggle or really move. He's just breathing, nothing else.

(Nerim)
=i dropped to one knee, and looked at the man=
Listen, you help us out, you get to go home. You want that, right? Go home and see your wife and child? See your friends? Or maybe you don't have a wife and child, you want to find one, don't you? Maybe talk to that one girl you'vr had your eye on? You help us, you get to go home. Simple deal. You don't want to help us, the I'll have my friend here cut your throat and save us some trouble. Understand?

He nods nervously, completely convinced.
I stood up and picked up Malice from the ground, then strapping him to my back.
"Well, lead the way."

He stood up from the ground and said.
"Follow me, I'll lead you to Sodgine. But that's as far as I go."

(Nerim)
Good.

=i followed along behind the soldier, keeping Meris ready=

I follow the soldier also. Knife ready incase he tries something.
But he doesn't try anything. He never does.

For the next couple hours, we went in several directions. Soon we near the grasslands end.

I felt a pain in my left shoulder the entire time, but never looked. I was to busy making sure the human didn't run.

(Nerim)
=i wrap Meris around my arm again as the soldier runs away=
Well, here's to this town being friendly.

"Well. It looks like the town we encountered before."
This relieved me. We aren't as far as we thought.

=I climb up slowly, I didn't like not having firm ground behind me.=

If you fall, you could use magic to save yourself.

I'd rather not fall at all.

(Nerim)
Oh, great. Now I'm sure we're going to get in more trouble.

"We just need to ask where the nearest Revaer city is. Then we'll bolt."
I took a drink from my water then put it back. We never stopped walking towards it.

[ So this the end of the ordeal? ]
Yep. We'll be put in the military soon after.
[ The military? I thought you wanted out. ]
I do. But I can't go home... Hmm.
[ What are you thinking? ]
Since Nerim and me are going back right? Maybe we can convince someone to let us be in the same battalion.

(Nerim)
Assuming they don't shoot on sight.

"Assuming they don't shoot on sight."
Reminds me of that arrow in my shoulder... that spot still hurts.
I look over to my left shoulder.
Maybe because there's a arrow in it... again. And this is why its had a dull pain for the past two hours.
The shoulder has barely bled at all. I guess the arrow has also kept the wound closed.

(Nerim)
Well, let's get this over with.

=i walked up to the gate=

I walked up next to Nerim and called out.
"Hello?! Anyone there!?"

A voice from a human bellowed.
"Who goes there?!"

(Nerim)
We would like to know the direction to the nearest Daemonil town! If you can tell us we will gladly leave you in peace!

"Head West! That's where you demons like to live!"

=i sighed=
Thank you!

"That settles that. Now I guess we'll head west. If we knew which way is west."
I yell back the man.
"Which way would that be?!"

He points in a direction.

"Okay, now we know."
I said with a shrug and then headed the way he pointed.

(Nerim)
=i followed alongside Jisr, keeping watch for anyone else. The headache from my practice was back, having disappeared due to the adrenaline rush from the fight=

Climb them and measure as you go.

I say it in a sarcastic manner, but i was curious myself. Even we did not know how high our trees were.

=starts climbing the tree and keeps track of how high it is and makes it to the top and looks around=

=starts climbing down and keeps track again just to be sure=

ok from the house to the top is around 75ft and i'd assume it's 50ft from here so 125ft for the ones in the area but the branches are alot thinner up there then i expected had to stay close the truck and a branch may have snapped so watch yourselves incase it comes down

=as he says it a small branch falls town hits the edge and falls to the forest floor=
